“We’re all fragile like Humpty,” Toddford said as he looked over my shoulder and saw this cartoon on my computer. I wasn’t going to post it. I didn’t want to make light of mental health, even though the cartoon is talking about a cartoon. “Put yourself back together,” some have told me, especially after my brother went on to Heaven. They’ve either never experienced loss, or they are just cold-hearted. I find it to be the latter, as we have all faced adversity and had to overcome it. Most times, folks just do not know what to say. So laugh at Humpty Dumpty, sure. Have compassion for the rest of us.
